R oboam, fiul lui Solomon, domnea în Iuda. El era în vârstă de patruzeci şi unu de ani când a început să domnească şi a domnit timp de şaptesprezece ani în Ierusalim, cetatea pe care Domnul o alesese dintre toate seminţiile lui Israel pentru a-Şi pune Numele Său în ea. Mama lui era amonită şi se numea Naama.

And Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king. He reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put His name there. His mother’s name was Naamah, an Ammonitess.
