D u-te, intră la regele David şi spune-i: «Stăpâne, regele meu, oare nu i-ai jurat tu însuţi slujitoarei tale că Solomon, fiul meu, va domni după tine şi că el va urma la tron? Atunci de ce domneşte Adonia?»

Go and get thee in to king David, and say to him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear to thy handmaid saying, Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne? why then does Adonijah reign?
