D avid a capturat de la el o mie de care, şapte sute de călăreţi şi douăzeci de mii de pedestraşi. David a tăiat tendoanele tuturor cailor de la care, cruţând din ei doar atâţia cât pentru o sută de care.

And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.
