C ând au auzit filistenii că David a fost uns drept rege peste Israel, toţi filistenii au pornit în căutarea lui. David a aflat însă acest lucru şi s-a adăpostit în fortăreaţă.

When the Philistines heard that David had been chosen to be king of Israel, all the Philistines went up to find him. When David heard of it, he went down to the strong place.
