Î n ajutorul lui David a venit însă Abişai, fiul Ţeruiei, care l-a lovit pe filistean şi l-a ucis. Atunci oamenii lui David i-au jurat spunându-i: „Nu vei mai merge împreună cu noi la război pentru ca să nu stingi lumina lui Israel.“

But Zeruiah’s son Abishai helped David and killed the Philistine. Then David’s men promised him, “You will not go out again with us to battle. You might put out the lamp of Israel.”
