– Intră la ţiitoarele tatălui tău, pe care el le-a lăsat să îngrijească de palat! i-a zis Ahitofel. În felul acesta tot Israelul va afla că te-ai făcut urât regelui şi astfel toţi cei ce sunt de partea ta se vor întări.

And Ahithophel saith unto Absalom, `Go in unto the concubines of thy father, whom he left to keep the house, and all Israel hath heard that thou hast been abhorred by thy father, and the hands of all who with thee have been strong.'
