U n om care a scăpat cu viaţă a venit şi l-a înştiinţat de acest lucru pe evreul Avram, care locuia lângă stejarii amoritului Mamre, fratele lui Eşcol şi al lui Aner; aceştia erau aliaţii lui Avram.

And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew: now he dwelt by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner; and these were confederate with Abram.
