L ot şi-a ridicat privirea şi a văzut că toată Câmpia Iordanului până la Ţoar era bine udată, ca grădina Domnului, ca ţara Egiptului; aceasta s-a întâmplat înainte ca Domnul să fi distrus Sodoma şi Gomora.

Lot looked and saw that the Jordan valley was well watered everywhere like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go to Zoar. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)
