I l giorno dopo, alzatisi di buon’ora, trovarono che Dagon era di nuovo caduto con la faccia a terra, davanti all’arca del Signore; la testa e le due mani di Dagon erano mozzate sulla soglia, e non gli restava più che il tronco.

And when they arose early on the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD, and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.
