A llora tutti i malvagi e i perversi fra gli uomini che erano andati con Davide presero a dire: «Dato che costoro non sono venuti con noi, non daremo loro nulla del bottino che abbiamo ricuperato; ciascuno di loro riavrà sua moglie e i suoi figli; se li portino via e se ne vadano!»

And all the wicked men, and of Belial, of those that had gone with David, answered and said, Because they went not with us, we will not give them of the spoil that we have recovered, save to every man his wife and his children, that they may lead away and depart.
