G ionatan disse a Davide: «Va’ in pace, ora che abbiamo fatto tutti e due questo giuramento nel nome del Signore. Il Signore sia testimone fra me e te, e fra la mia e la tua discendenza, per sempre». Davide si alzò e se ne andò, e Gionatan tornò in città.

And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have both of us sworn in the name of Jehovah, saying, Jehovah be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever! And he arose and departed; and Jonathan went into the city.
