A lza il misero dalla polvere e innalza il povero dal letame, per farli sedere con i nobili, per farli eredi di un trono di gloria; poiché le colonne della terra sono del Signore e su queste ha poggiato il mondo.

He raiseth from the dust the poor, From a dunghill He lifteth up the needy, To cause to sit with nobles, Yea, a throne of honour He doth cause them to inherit, For to Jehovah the fixtures of earth, And He setteth on them the habitable world.
