M a Samuele gli disse: «Che hai fatto?» Saul rispose: «Siccome vedevo che il popolo si disperdeva e mi abbandonava, che tu non giungevi nel giorno stabilito e che i Filistei erano radunati a Micmas, mi sono detto:
