T utto il popolo disse a Samuele: «Prega il Signore, il tuo Dio, per i tuoi servi, affinché non moriamo; poiché a tutti gli altri nostri peccati abbiamo aggiunto il torto di chiedere per noi un re».

And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto Jehovah thy God, that we die not; for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king.
