D alila dunque prese delle funi nuove, lo legò e gli disse: «Sansone, i Filistei ti sono addosso!» C’era gente in agguato nella camera interna. Egli ruppe, come un filo, le funi che aveva alle braccia.

And Delilah taketh thick bands, new ones, and bindeth him with them, and saith unto him, `Philistines upon thee, Samson;' and the ambush is abiding in an inner chamber, and he breaketh them from off his arms as a thread.
