P oi Iefte, radunati tutti gli uomini di Galaad, diede battaglia a Efraim; e gli uomini di Galaad sconfissero gli Efraimiti, perché questi li insultavano dicendo: «Voi, Galaaditi, siete dei fuggiaschi di Efraim, in mezzo a Efraim e in mezzo a Manasse!»

Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites.
