F ineas, figlio del sacerdote Eleazar, disse ai figli di Ruben, ai figli di Gad e ai figli di Manasse: «Oggi riconosciamo che il Signore è in mezzo a noi, perché non avete commesso questa infedeltà verso il Signore; così avete liberato i figli d’Israele dalla mano del Signore ».
