A llora Nabucodonosor s’infuriò e l’espressione del suo viso mutò completamente nei riguardi di Sadrac, Mesac e Abed-Nego. Egli ordinò che si arroventasse la fornace sette volte più del solito;

Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury and his facial expression was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Therefore he commanded that the furnace should be heated seven times hotter than it was usually heated.
