« Urla, o Chesbon, poiché Ai è devastata; gridate, o città di Rabba, vestitevi di sacchi, spandete lamenti, correte qua e là lungo le muraglie, poiché Malcom va in esilio insieme con i suoi sacerdoti e con i suoi capi.

Wail, O Heshbon, for Ai is laid waste; cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth: lament, and run to and fro among the fences; for Malcam shall go into captivity, his priests and his princes together.
