B enché io avessi ripudiato l’infedele Israele a causa di tutti i suoi adultèri e le avessi dato la sua lettera di divorzio, ho visto che sua sorella, la perfida Giuda, non ha avuto alcun timore ed è andata a prostituirsi anche lei.

And I saw, when, for this very cause that backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a bill of divorcement, yet treacherous Judah her sister feared not; but she also went and played the harlot.
