N on piangete per il morto, non vi affliggete per lui; ma piangete, piangete per colui che se ne va, perché non tornerà più e non vedrà più il suo paese natìo.

Don’t weep for the dead, neither bemoan him; but weep bitterly for him who goes away; for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.
