P erciò il soggiorno dei morti si è aperto bramoso e ha spalancato oltremisura la gola; laggiù scende lo splendore di Sion e la sua folla chiassosa e festante.

Therefore Sheol (the unseen state, the realm of the dead) has enlarged its appetite and opened its mouth without measure; and nobility and her multitude and her pomp and tumult and who exults in her descend into it.
