Isaia 44:19 ~ Isaiah 44:19

N essuno rientra in se stesso e ha conoscimento e intelletto per dire: «Ne ho bruciato la metà nel fuoco, sui suoi carboni ho fatto cuocere il pane, vi ho arrostito la carne che ho mangiata; con il resto farei un idolo abominevole? Mi inginocchierei davanti a un pezzo di legno?»

And none doth turn back unto his heart, Nor hath knowledge nor understanding to say, `Half of it I have burned in the fire, Yea, also, I have baked bread over its coals, I roast flesh and I eat, And its remnant for an abomination I make, To the stock of a tree I fall down.'
