C hi ha abbandonato Giacobbe al saccheggio e Israele in balìa dei predoni? Non è stato forse il Signore ? Colui contro il quale abbiamo peccato, nelle cui vie non si è voluto camminare e alla cui legge non si è ubbidito?

Who gave up Jacob for spoil, and Israel to the robbers? Was it not the Lord, He against Whom we have sinned and in Whose ways they would not walk, neither were they obedient to His law or His teaching?
