F orse il Signore, il tuo Dio, ha udito le parole di Rabsachè, che il re d’Assiria, suo signore, ha mandato per insultare il Dio vivente; e forse il Signore, il tuo Dio, punirà le parole che ha udite. Rivolgigli dunque una preghiera in favore del resto del popolo che rimane ancora”».

It may be Jehovah thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which Jehovah thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.
