M osè e Aaronne andarono dunque dal faraone e fecero come il Signore aveva ordinato. Aaronne gettò il suo bastone davanti al faraone e davanti ai suoi servitori e quello diventò un serpente.

So Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and thus they did just as the Lord had commanded; and Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent.
