M osè parlò così ai figli d’Israele; ma essi non diedero ascolto a Mosè a causa dell’angoscia del loro spirito e della loro dura schiavitù.

So Moses said this to the people of Israel. But they did not listen to Moses because of their broken spirit and how hard they were made to work.
