i l re stabilisca in tutte le province del suo regno dei commissari; questi radunino tutte le ragazze vergini e belle alla residenza reale di Susa, negli appartamenti delle donne, sotto la sorveglianza di Egai, eunuco del re, guardiano delle donne, che darà loro i cosmetici di cui necessitano;

Let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the beautiful young virgins to the citadel of Susa, to the women’s house, to the custody of Hegai the king’s eunuch, keeper of the women. Let cosmetics be given them;
