I nfatti Acaz aveva spogliato la casa del Signore, il palazzo del re e dei capi, e aveva dato tutto al re d’Assiria; ma a nulla gli era giovato.

For Ahaz took from the house of the Lord and out of the house of the king and from the princes and gave it as tribute to the king of Assyria, but it did not help Ahaz.
