I Filistei pure avevano invaso le città della pianura e della regione meridionale di Giuda, e avevano preso Bet-Semes, Aialon, Ghederot, Soco e i villaggi che ne dipendevano, Timna e i villaggi che ne dipendevano, Ghimzo e i villaggi che ne dipendevano, e vi si erano stabiliti.

The Philistines also had come to fight against the cities of the valley and of the Negev of Judah. They had taken Beth-shemesh, Aijalon, Gederoth, Soco with its villages, Timnah with its villages, and Gimzo with its villages. And they came to live there.
