M a non fece morire i loro figli, conformandosi a quanto è scritto nella legge, nel libro di Mosè, dove il Signore ha dato questo comandamento: «Non si metteranno a morte i padri per colpa dei figli, né si metteranno a morte i figli per colpa dei padri; ognuno sarà messo a morte per il proprio peccato».

and their sons he hath not put to death, but as is written in the law, in the book of Moses, whom Jehovah commanded, saying, `Fathers do not die for sons, and sons die not for fathers, but each for his own sin they die.'
