Q uelli andarono sulle tracce dei Siri, fino al Giordano; tutta la strada era piena di vestiario e di oggetti, che i Siri avevano gettato via nella loro fuga precipitosa. E gli inviati tornarono e riferirono tutto al re.

They went after them to the Jordan. All the way was strewn with clothing and equipment which the Syrians had cast away in their flight. And the messengers returned and told the king.
