G heazi, che li aveva preceduti, pose il bastone sulla faccia del bambino, ma non ci fu voce né segno di vita. Allora andò incontro a Eliseo e gli riferì la cosa, dicendo: «Il bambino non si è svegliato».

Gehazi went ahead of them, and laid the staff on the child’s face; but there was no voice and or hearing. Therefore he returned to meet him, and told him, “The child has not awakened.”
