D istrussero le città; riempirono di pietre ogni buon pezzo di terra, ciascuno gettandovi la sua; turarono tutte le sorgenti d’acqua e abbatterono tutti i buoni alberi. Non rimasero che le mura di Chir-Areset, e i tiratori di fionda la circondarono e l’attaccarono.

And they beat down the cities, and on every good piece of land cast every man his stone and filled it, and they stopped every well of water, and felled every good tree, until they left the stones at Kirhareseth; and the slingers went about it, and smote it.
