E lia gli disse: «Eliseo, fèrmati qui, ti prego, perché il Signore mi manda a Gerico». Quegli rispose: «Com’è vero che il Signore vive, e che tu vivi, io non ti lascerò». Così se ne andarono a Gerico.

And Elijah said to him, Elisha, abide here, I pray thee; for Jehovah has sent me to Jericho. And he said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee! And they came to Jericho.
