A ppena questi ebbero ricevuta la lettera, presero i figli del re e li sgozzarono tutti e settanta; poi misero le loro teste in ceste e le mandarono a Ieu, a Izreel.

So it was, when the letter came to them, that they took the king’s sons and slaughtered seventy persons, put their heads in baskets and sent them to him at Jezreel.
