Q uesta notizia giunse a Ioab, il quale aveva seguito il partito di Adonia, benché non avesse seguito quello di Absalom. Egli si rifugiò nel tabernacolo del Signore e si aggrappò ai corni dell’altare.

Now the news came to Joab, for Joab had followed Adonijah, although he had not followed Absalom. And Joab fled to the tent of the Lord and took hold of the horns of the altar.
