I l re Salomone, rispondendo a sua madre, disse: «E perché chiedi Abisag la Sunamita per Adonia? Chiedi piuttosto il regno per lui, poiché egli è mio fratello maggiore; chiedilo per lui, per il sacerdote Abiatar e per Ioab, figlio di Seruia!»

And King Solomon answered and said to his mother, “Now why do you ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? Ask for him the kingdom also—for he is my older brother—for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah.”
