i o farò oggi quel che ti giurai per il Signore, per il Dio d’Israele, quando dissi: “Salomone tuo figlio regnerà dopo di me sedendo sul mio trono al mio posto”».

I promised you by the Lord the God of Israel, saying, ‘Your son Solomon will be king after me. He will sit on my throne in my place.’ And I will even do so this day.”
