Q uando Ioab e tutta la gente che era con lui furono arrivati, qualcuno portò la notizia a Ioab, dicendo: «Abner, figlio di Ner, è venuto dal re, il quale lo ha lasciato andare, ed egli se n’è andato in pace».

And Joab and all the host that was with him came; and they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he has sent him away; and he is gone in peace.
