D avide andò a prendere le ossa di Saul e quelle di Gionatan suo figlio presso gli abitanti di Iabes di Galaad, i quali le avevano portate via dalla piazza di Bet-San, dove i Filistei avevano appeso i cadaveri quando avevano sconfitto Saul sul Ghilboa.
