A l tempo di Davide ci fu una carestia per tre anni continui. Davide cercò il volto del Signore, e il Signore gli disse: «C’è un debito di sangue che pende su Saul e sulla sua casa, perché egli fece perire i Gabaoniti».

There was a three-year famine in the days of David, year after year; and David inquired of the Lord. The Lord replied, It is on account of Saul and his bloody house, for he put to death the Gibeonites.
