M a egli si rifiutò di cambiare strada; allora Abner con l’estremità inferiore della lancia lo colpì nel ventre, e la lancia lo trapassò. Asael cadde e morì in quello stesso luogo; e quanti passavano di là, dove egli era caduto morto, si fermavano.

Asahel refused to turn aside; so Abner with the rear end of his spear smote him through the abdomen, and he fell and died where he fell. And all who came to the place where Asahel fell and died stood still.
