T utti gli uomini di Giuda risposero agli uomini d’Israele: «Perché il re ci appartiene più da vicino; e perché vi adirate per questo? Abbiamo forse mangiato a spese del re? O abbiamo ricevuto qualche regalo?»

And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us. Why then are ye angry for this matter? Have we eaten anything at the king’s cost? Or has he given us any gift?
