S enza dubbio egli è ora nascosto in qualche buca o in qualche altro luogo; e avverrà che, se fin da principio ne cadranno alcuni dei tuoi, chiunque lo verrà a sapere dirà: “Tra la gente che seguiva Absalom c’è stata una strage”.

Surely by now he is hidden in some pit, or in some other place. And it will be, when some of them are overthrown at the first, that whoever hears it will say, ‘There is a slaughter among the people who follow Absalom.’
