O monti di Ghilboa, su di voi non cada più né rugiada né pioggia; i vostri campi non diano più primizie per le offerte; poiché là fu gettato via lo scudo dei prodi, lo scudo di Saul, che l’olio non ungerà più.

You mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain on you, and no fields of offerings; For there the shield of the mighty was defiled and cast away, The shield of Saul was not anointed with oil.
