E d egli: «Che pegno ti darò?» L’altra rispose: «Il tuo sigillo, il tuo cordone e il bastone che hai in mano». Egli glieli diede, andò da lei ed ella rimase incinta di lui.

And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy lace, and thy staff which is in thy hand. And he gave her, and went in to her; and she conceived by him.
