M a i pastori di Gherar litigarono con i pastori d’Isacco, dicendo: «L’acqua è nostra». Così egli chiamò il pozzo Esec, perché quelli avevano litigato con lui.

And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.
