N ow David and his men went up to fight the Geshurites, the Girzites and the Amalekites. For they had been living in the land a long time, as you come to Shur, even as far as the land of Egypt.

Davide e la sua gente salivano e facevano delle scorrerie nel paese dei Ghesuriti, dei Ghirziti e degli Amalechiti; poiché queste popolazioni abitavano da tempi antichi il paese, dal lato di Sur fino al paese d’Egitto.
