S aul said to the Kenites, “Go, leave the Amalekites, or I might destroy you with them. For you showed kindness to all the people of Israel when they came up from Egypt.” So the Kenites left the Amalekites.

Poi Saul disse ai Kenei: «Andatevene, ritiratevi, uscite fuori di mezzo agli Amalekiti, affinché non vi distrugga con loro, perché usaste clemenza verso tutti i figli d'Israele quando uscivano dall'Egitto». Così i Kenei si ritirarono di mezzo agli Amalekiti.
